Preparing Your R&D Claim
We handle the mandatory online R&D Additional Information Form (AIF), which includes detailed project descriptions and cost summaries.
Support and templates are provided for crafting project descriptions and compiling qualifying costs.
Online meetings are arranged with your technical leads and contributors to ensure accurate and thorough data gathering.
Document Review & Checking
Payroll information, contractor costs and other supporting documents are reviewed to ensure accuracy and compliance.
We identify and address any complexities during the process to keep things seamless and avoid claim errors.
Once all information is complete, we prepare the online R&D AIF for your review and once it's approved, we submit it.
Internal Review & Finalisation
Our internal compliance officer conducts a thorough review of the AIF and supporting documents before submission and any issues that arrise at that time are resolved.
Our internal accountant prepares a detailed Claim Summary, outlining the before-and-after tax positions, the data for entering into the relevant R&D boxes on your corporation tax return, and the R&D claim value.
Submission & Filing
We submit the AIF and then liaise with your external tax accountant to file the R&D claim as part of your original or amended tax return.
We check your accountant's draft tax return before it is filed.
If preferred, we can handle the tax return filing on your behalf.
Flexible Fee Structure
For new clients, a small fee is payable upon submitting the AIF for the first claim year, with the remainder due once HMRC settles the claim.
We have a minimum fee plus a percentage-based fee, with a lower percentage for larger claims.

How It Works
Fixed Fee Structure:
Fees are determined by the level of qualifying R&D expenditure identified in your claim, starting at £600 to review a claim with qualifying costs of up to £50,000.
Written Report:
Our response will provide an honest appraisal of your AIF including the following:
Viability: Whether your claim appears viable based on the AIF information.
Concerns: Any concerns about your claim or specific projects, with reasons.
Recommendations: On whether to proceed with submitting the AIF as it stands and/or any projects we don't advise submitting, with reasons.
We’ll also provide a checklist of R&D qualification criteria to consider before submission.
Additional Support:
If further assistance is required after the AIF review, we can discuss your needs and provide a quote for acting as your agent regarding the R&D claim.
